Sisters

While the verity of the study, conducted by the University of Ulster regarding sisters, of whether sisters do make people happy and brothers only bring distress can not be completely proven, one thing remains true: having a sister around can prove to be one of the most blessed and fulfilling things in the world.

Sisters are the god's gift to mankind. Sisters provide a steady shoulder to cry on and talk to in a family. This is because women are known to be more open when talking about their feelings, than men. And with every problem, the immediate family unit is the first people you run to to discuss problems and to talk about possible solutions.

In a society as tightly knit and bound such as India, it is not surprising that sisters play a huge role in the development of a person. It is not just the development inside the domestic sphere, but also the development in the society. This is evidenced by the fact that many social and political leaders have prominent sisters who are public figures and who provide these social figures a pillar to turn to.

Sisters are known to encourage open communication, friendly discussions and bond in the family and the social sphere.
